Monthly Storage Rates

Storage rates for all customers is $150/month for cars for indoor storage and $50 month for outdoor storage. Motorcycles rates are $50 month for indoor storage and $25 month for outdoor storage.  Storage fees are paid quarterly in advance with a 3-month minimum.  Longer term storage needs are available at reduced rates.  Invoices are emailed to you or your agent quarterly and are payable upon receipt.  Your storage rate is guaranteed for one year from date of storage. Before the vehicle is released at the end of a storage period, any balance due must be paid in guaranteed funds (cash, certified check, money order, Paypal, etc.) at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled delivery/pick-up date.

Since this is a long-term car storage facility, we have a 3-month minimum. If your vehicle is in storage for less than 3 months you will still be charged storage fees for a 3-month period. Rent is pro-rated on the incoming month but not pro-rated during the last month.  Discounts are available for long term storage needs that exceed 12 months.

This is a long-term car storage facility; we are not equipped for cars coming and going.

A $25.00 late fee will be applied to any account over 30 days past due and an additional late fee of $25.00 be applied if the invoice remains unpaid after 60 days.

Multi Vehicle Discounts

​

Have more than one vehicle to put in storage?  Storage fees for additional cars in the name of the same owner that are stored inside are discounted to $125.00/month each.  Rent for all other multiple vehicles stored inside by the same owner are discounted 20%.  Multiple vehicles stored outside are discounted 10%.

Pick-up & Delivery Fees

​

Rates for pick-up and delivery of your car is $2.00 per loaded mile with a $150 minimum, plus tolls. 7 days' notice requested for pick-up or delivery. Calculate the pick-up or delivery charges by entering your pick-up or delivery zip code and our zip code of 20175 on Google Maps.

An appointment is required to pick-up or deliver a car to our storage facility.

 

 

FAQs

​

Do you have insurance?

Yes, we have a general liability policy.  However, you must keep your comprehensive policy in effect.

What should I do to prepare my car for storage?

Fill the gas tank, check fluid levels, thoroughly vacuum the interior, wash exterior and provide a car cover.

Will anyone i.e. owner/friend/wife/cousin, etc be able to use the car from time to time?

No.  This is a long-term car storage facility, we are not equipped for cars coming and going, and we cannot be responsible for damage to the vehicle while it is out of storage.

Is your car storage facility climate controlled?

Yes, it is climate controlled however the weather is moderate in central Virginia and so temperatures are not extreme. That said, we feel that starting the car and keeping it in running condition is much more important than heat and A/C in our storage.

How can I pay my bill?

We take all major credit cards and can automatically charge your credit card on the first day of each quarter if you wish to have a credit card on file.  If you prefer to have your invoices e-mailed to you each quarter the invoices can be paid via certified check, money order, Paypal, Venmo, etc.

Do you have a minimum length of time for storage?

Yes, this is a long-term vehicle storage facility. The minimum charges for storage are equal to a 3-month minimum.

Do you have a maximum length of time you will store my car?

No.  As long as your long-term storage charges are paid, we will take care of your car as long as you require our service
 

Do you offer vehicle cleaning services?

Yes.  If requested your car can be washed, interior/exterior detailed, etc.  A separate charge will apply, and the cost/type of service will be provided in advance for your approval.

Our Car Storage Location and Services

We provide transport services in Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Washington, DC., and portions of North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, but we will store cars from all over the country.

The storage facility is adjacent to our home with around the clock security and monitoring. We take care of your vehicle as if it were our own. If you want personal service, quick response, and experience, then we are the storage facility for you.

​

Aegis Auto Storage provides long-term (3 month minimum), inside or outside, storage for your vehicles. Our customers are military personnel, State Department personnel, embassy staff, World Bank employees, and classic car owners, just to name a few. If you are not in our transport service area but want to store your car with us, you can contract with a nationwide auto transport company to bring your car to us.

Our indoor storage facility will keep your car protected and safe from rain, snow, hail, ice, sun, theft or tampering, or other potential damage. We'll keep your car safe and in running condition for the winter, or while you're overseas.  Whether you just need more space in your own garage, or you need someone to look after your automobile long-term until you return from assignment Aegis Auto Storage provides an affordable, secure choice.  The storage facility and grounds are monitored and protected by security cameras located both inside and outside the storage facility as well as an alarm system - the Aegis Auto Storage owner uses the facility to store his personal car collection.

How We Store Your Car

• Vehicle batteries will be maintained on a battery tender if requested.  This does not guarantee your battery will not need to be replaced before pickup-but it helps. We will attempt to charge your battery first. When we receive your pick-up or delivery request, we will let you know at that time if a battery will be needed, and a cost will be given for your approval.

• Renter is to remove or disconnect any batteries in any vehicles in storage for vehicles 25 yrs and older.

• At renter request, every thirty days fluid levels will be checked, and your car is started and run for at least 15 minutes.

• Renter must provide a car cover suitable for their vehicle.
